Dr. Lee Wright

Dr. Lee Wright is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a M.Ed. and Ed.D. from Sam Houston State University. Dr. Wright has been employed by Tomball ISD (Tomball, Texas) since January 1998 and served on TISD campuses for 22 years as a Teacher and Coach at Tomball High School, Assistant Principal at Tomball Junior High School, Principal at Oakcrest Intermediate School. Dr. Wright was the Tomball ISD Teacher of the Year in 2006 and was the district Principal of the Year in 2017. He led Oakcrest Intermediate School to become a GE Model School in 2017 and laid the foundation for a Model PLC School recognition by Solution Tree in 2020. Dr. Wright joined the Curriculum & Instruction Department in 2019 as the district’s first School Support Officer, and then transitioned to Assistant Superintendent of Strategic Innovation in 2021. He organizes all professional learning for Tomball ISD including all PLC and Great Expectations coaching and events, connects all projects and initiatives to the district’s Strategic Plan, leads the project team that developed a district comprehensive literacy plan, and leads all C&I Content Directors to advance student achievement outcomes through teacher learning and development. In addition to being a staunch advocate for GE and character education for students, he serves as a Solution Tree Associate specializing in the work of professional learning communities in a collaborative culture. Tomball ISD currently has 14 GE campuses and 11 GE Model Schools.
