Tom Shively serves on the Board of Great Expectations from afar; he and his wife Brenda live in Morocco. Mr. Shively was formerly President of The American Education Corporation, a developer of assessment and instructional systems for K-12 and online education. After the sale of that company, Mr. Shively served as Executive Vice President of K12, Inc., an operator of online schools. Since leaving K12 in 2015, Mr. Shively has worked on developing businesses and schools in foreign countries, currently in North Africa. Mr. Shively is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and has an MBA degree from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce there. He has four children and 3 grandchildren.
