Angela Sheffield has spent 28 years as an educator. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University in special education and her Master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas in reading. She taught in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Indiana. Angela was Teacher of the Year at Highland Park Elementary in Mid-Del Schools and earned her National Board Certification.
All the years in education resulted in Angela’s attendance at hundreds of hours of professional development. Reflecting on required PD was the impetus for Angela’s doctoral research. Angela earned her doctorate from the University of Missouri and studied the implementation of Great Expectations for her dissertation. It was this in-depth study of GE that convinced her she had to be a part of the great things happening for students through GE. There is not a better professional development to give teachers the tools they need to ensure success for all students!
