Shawn Coffman

Shawn began working for Great Expectations in 1997. Her ability to organize, facilitate,
manage, and focus resources make her an invaluable Great Expectations staff member.
She holds the important position of Program Coordinator, in charge of scheduling
events, coordinating training components, and integrating a variety of activities
simultaneously.

She grew up in Owasso, OK. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology and a
Master of Science in student personnel services and college teaching from
Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She graduated with honors and was
cited in Who’s Who Among College Students while working on her Master’s degree.
She completed Doctorial course work at Oklahoma State University.

Shawn is very active in her community. Currently, she volunteers to mentor young girls who have been sexually abused. She is part of the Cuddle Care Program for babies that are born with drug addiction. She enjoys reading to the elderly at the nursing home and she loves to volunteer for the Tahlequah PTO.

She is fun loving, friendly, and kind. She loves going to the movies, traveling, spending
time with friends, and watching all sports Oklahoma. Most of all Shawn loves spending
time and spoiling her “kids”. Her favorite title of all is Nawnie.

Fun facts about Shawn is she reads magazines from back to front and volunteers to
deliver flowers every Valentine’s Day because she loves to see the happiness it brings
to people.
