John Ross Elementary has been named a Great Expectations Model School - the fourth school in the Edmond school district to achieve the designation.
The Great Expectations teaching/training model is guided by six basic principles and further defined by 17 classroom practices that allow students to become self directed learners, productive citizens, critical thinkers and contributors in the classroom as well as society.
Founded in 1991 it is a scientifically based model that empowers teachers to expect and obtain the best from students.
