Jay Weatherford

Recently joining the Great Expectations Board, Jay Weatherford has served on several boards, and currently sits on the Rural Health Network of Oklahoma Board, as well as the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness Board since 2009 where he serves on the Child Care Ad Hoc committee and is co-chairperson of the Special Populations Work Group.  He also currently serves as an operational consultant and legislative liaison for Southeastern Oklahoma Interlocal Cooperative.   Joining Little Dixie Community Action Agency, Inc. in 2002, Jay Weatherford is an Associate Director over Health, Education, and Early Childhood programs.  Beginning his career as a CPA, Jay quickly became a small business entrepreneur developing multiple businesses including traditional, franchise, and new manufacturing concerns. Now focusing on key factors such as rural education, early childhood, and rural health he has steered his entrepreneurial spirit and experience toward creatively developing systems.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma.   He has been married to his wife, Michelle, an English teacher, for 28 years and has a son, Logan; daughter-in-law, Caty; daughter, Lauren; and daughter, Laine.
